Great site and lots of helpful info... thanks. I read that Edinburgh is going to try and break the record for the Longest Strip the Willow at the Night Afore Fiesta - what is the world record anyway? How often do people try and set a new record?

They try to break the record

They try to break the record every year,it started 5 years ago I believe, and we will get the exact number of the past few years for you if you bear with us .Are you suggesting we should have a world league of Strip the Willow celebrating the New Year......on the web.... ah! like it .... how can we help..... We have been advised that the figure for Edinburgh Strip the Willow is circa 3,500 people on George street ,the Night Afore Fiesta... AH
